My Professional Profile

About Me and
My Role as a Life Coach

As a Life Coach, it’s my role to partner with you on a journey of self-discovery. You are the best expert on yourself! Through empathy, active and intuitive listening, critical questions, and supportive accountability, we can work together towards the future you desire. Whether transitioning in your career, facing a challenge in your friend or family circle, looking to move forward through a challenge in being a leader or finding your place in a work or social system, I can come alongside and ensure that you move forward through your present situation to empower you toward your desired future.

My goal is simply to foster your empowerment, so that you complete the changes you wish to make, meet the challenges you seek to overcome, and attain the goals that you have set. And when those things happen, we congratulate you on your successes and continue the journey towards more challenges, or you decide you are empowered sufficiently to coach yourself!

More About My Training and Development

My education began in Interdisciplinary Studies at Redeemer University (B.A., 1993), and then a master’s degree from Calvin Theological Seminary (M.Div, 2002), where I also had intensives in counseling and marriage / family systems. I have received additional training in restorative justice / conversations and have extensive experience in teaching overseas. Some of my greatest joys came when training staffs of orphanages in Ukraine, and living and learning with men transitioning out of homelessness and addiction in Russia.

I recently completed a certificate program at Rhodes Wellness College (Vancouver) and bring over 20 years of experience working in Human Services. I have been a teacher, special needs aide, church pastor, non-profit organization administrator, youth support worker, school bus driver and even a chauffeur! When working with people I am continually fascinated by the potential people have, inspired when they realize their hopes and aspirations, and enjoy celebrating with them as they experience personal fulfillment.
